創建您自己的漫畫書 - 多日營

Students will learn how to plan and write their own comic book through the writing process - plan, draft, draw, create/write, edit and publish.  Students will create their book using Book Creator.  Book Creator has some wonderful features and tools, allowing students to use a comic book format to add images, drawing, voice, sound and more.    

1st meeting - During our first meeting, students will learn how to plan their comic book.  We will discuss the following elements: characters and setting.  Students will begin drafting their main character and create the cover of their book using Book Creator.  Students will then start working on their introduction page by adding the images, characters, dialogue and caption.  

2nd meeting: During our second meeting, students will learn onomatopoeia and story elements: problem & solution.  Students will work on the problem of their story by adding images, dialogue, stickers and captions to their story.  

3rd meeting: During our third meeting, students will continue working on the problem of the story if needed and then start on the solution.  

4th meeting: During our forth meeting, students will learn to edit and publish their book with teacher's help.   

The goal is for each student to complete their book during our camp; however, some students may want to take longer.  That is totally ok.  I will guide students during our camp, but they will have access to Book Creator for 1 week after class to continue working on their book at home.   

Students can use an iPad or computer to create their comic book.  Teacher will provide a special link to join Book Creator before class.
