Each session is full of projects based on Passion, Collaboration with Peers, and a Playful Spirit. It is full of hands-on Memorable, Meaningful, and Motivating activities, specially designed for girls and boys, 5 to 6 years old. This class is a discovery class where the only requirement is a passion for learning and creating. In this live online course, each student will: - Participate in a class with other children his/her age group (5 - 6), discovering how the engineering process is a part of everyday life. - Enjoy three hours of personalized project-based instruction and interest-based projects. - Learn to design, build, create models that will require an engineer's eye using everyday household materials. - Collaborate with small groups (6 campers maximum per session) with one adult certified, live instructor. Syllabus/Topics covered: Day 1 (Technology) - What is Technology? - What is Problem-Solution? - Paper Airplanes Day2 (Robotics) - What is a Robot? - What are the parts of a Robot? - Balancing Paper Robot Day3 (Four Forces) - How do Helicopters fly? - What are the Forces involved? - Paper Helicopter Day4 (Strong Shapes) - What is a Strong Shape? - What are Weak Materials? - Paper Structures The 45 minutes classes are incredibly interactive: 10-minute lecture using videos and slides. 25-minute self-paced creation. 10-minute discussion of achievements.

Engineers play an important role in our everyday lives; in this course, we will be learning the basics of engineering and how technologies impact our everyday life.
In our Engineering class, students will learn about the basics of technology and how they contribute to everyday life.
In this course, students will put on their engineering caps and test their abilities by creating different projects related to the engineering field discussed for the day.
Students will learn that being an engineer starts as a model and will create model designs using everyday household items to complete projects.
With the instructor's guide, students will learn that they can be a part of the engineering world if they are willing to try.
