From turtle-cleaning shrimp to clownfish in their anemone homes to predatory white-tip reef sharks, coral reefs provide shelter, food, and many other resources to a variety of animals! Students will become familiar with the habitat elements and structure of coral reef ecosystems. Students will understand how coral reefs support other species. Students will identify animals commonly found in coral reefs and describe why they rely on the reef.
