課堂經歷

With this one-on-one course, your learner will explore strategies and tools to identify and effectively manage their anciety and worries. In this class, I will provide personalized attention and an individual lesson plan tailored to the learner's needs and educational goals. In this class, we will explore what anxiety and stress is, and how we can use stategies to cope with and overcome our anxious thoughts and worries. Although the lesson will be tailored to individual needs, I will also be adding content to the lesson plan according to what I consider would be beneficial to the learner.  

Please reach out if you'd like to take this class, but the available times do not work for you. I am very open and flexible to adjustments within my schedule!

This course is open to all learners.  

Here are a few learning objectives that will be covered (tailored to your learner's need):  

Day 1:
☆ Understanding what stress and anxiety is
☆ Anxiety, stress and your brain - fight/flight/freeze response
☆ Anxiety in the body - exploring physical sensations of anxiety and stress

Day 2:
☆ Catching and flipping anxious and stressful thoughts and worries
☆ Exploring ways to relax and distract your mind part 1- breathing and grounding activities part 1
☆ How to be kind to yourself

Day 3: 
☆The circle of control 
☆Learn to problem-solve your worries
 ☆The worry tree


Day 4: 
☆ Being brave to face your fears 
☆Explore your support tree.
☆ Exploring ways to relax and distract your mind part 2 - breathing and grounding activities, self-care

The aim of this class is to offer educational and learning activities to help students explore strategies they can use to understand and manage anxiety. This class is not a therapeutic session. There is no intention of the class to elicit reports on personal experiences with mental health from learners. If a learner shares any personal mental health details (despite not being prompted to do so) , I will ask that the learner refrain from further discussion in the class and instead continue the conversation with a trusted adult. If a learner shares something that is concerning, I may need to reach out to parents after class depending on the context.
