The students will learn about this most interesting pawn capture, called "En Passant." This is a French word which means, "In Passing." The students will learn that the pawns are the only pieces that can make the En Passant move and can only capture pawns. They will learn that only after a pawn makes an initial move of 2 spaces, can an En Passant capture be made. ChessKid.com is an additional resource that can help the student to improve their chess skills. This website provides Chess Puzzles, practice against chess bots, and informative videos which are made by Grand Masters.
