課堂經歷
This class will continue to develop ASL grammar and concepts we use often. Our Final Project: Each student will pick a well-known story, fairy tale, or fable and perform it entirely in ASL. This can include expressive storytelling techniques like role-shifting, classifiers, and facial expressions. Much of this trimester is putting into practice what we’ve learned already and becoming more fluid in our conversational skills. My main goal is to have fun because what we learn with pleasure we never forget. There will be homework involved, such as looking up words, translating sentences, and of course, practice, practice, practice. I look forward to continuing the discussion in Conversational ASL 2 - Trimester 3.

This lesson provides a comprehensive review of essential American Sign Language (ASL) elements, including the five parameters (handshape, movement, palm orientation, location, and facial expressions), grammatical structures, and key linguistic concepts. REVIEW: Speaking about Ourselves, Talking about Learning ASL + Free Signing
In this lesson, students will review how to introduce themselves, share personal information, and discuss their experiences learning ASL. Emphasis will be placed on clear signing, proper grammar, and expressive communication. REVIEW: Food and Cooking, Health and Wellness + Free Signing

I have been a teacher for the past 14 years but have moved to online teaching for the past three years. My hobbies include reading, writing, hiking, rock climbing, and swimming (preferably near a waterfall I can jump off!) I teach Public Speaking, Writing, American Sign Language, and Social Skills.
