課堂經歷
This summer camp will meet once per week for 30 minutes. The class length is 4 weeks. Students will learn about conversational skills. This course will teach students how to start, maintain, join, and end conversations using appropriate verbal (words) and nonverbal (body language, facial expressions, personal space) behaviors. Class time will include direct instruction of social skills through lectures, PowerPoints, YouTube videos, and interactive games, such as Jeopardy or online board games. Guided practice of conversational skills will occur. Students will practice conversations with each other. The weekly curriculum is as follows: Week 1. Greetings, initiating a conversation & practice Week 2. Joining a conversation & practice Week 3. Maintaining a conversation & practice Week 3. Ending a conversation & practice #superstar
