征服基岩塔：我的世界逃脫室第 1 部分

The last thing that you remember is playing some Minecraft with your friends one rainy Saturday afternoon.  As always, you are doing an outstanding job of battling mobs and creating cool structures.  Suddenly, your eyelids begin to feel very heavy, and before you can react, you drift off into a deep sleep.

Some time later you awaken with a start...somehow transported into the Minecraft game inside a structure made of bedrock! The only exit from the room appears to be a wooden trapdoor that is in the center of the floor.  Fastened to the trapdoor is a complicated looking lock and weathered piece of parchment paper with a message written on it.  You approach the door and read the message…

"You are now trapped inside the highest room of the Bedrock Tower, far above the forest below.  This trapdoor is the only way to escape.  It is locked with a lock that requires a 6-digit code to unlock.  Hidden throughout this room are six puzzle-boxes that will give you the information you need to open the lock and make your way to freedom.  The clock is ticking...Good luck!"

After a brief time of introduction and review of class expectations, students will work together to solve a variety of puzzles designed to test their problem-solving, math, and literacy skills, all while immersed in a fun scenario revolving around Minecraft.  PLEASE NOTE WE WILL NOT BE PLAYING MINECRAFT FOR THIS ESCAPE ROOM ACTIVITY - ALL CONTENT IS DELIVERED THROUGH TEACHER-GENERATED SLIDES.  Knowledge of the game is a plus, but not essential to completing the challenge.

All students will be given the opportunity to participate.  Hints will be delivered if a group finds any of the puzzles too challenging.  The goal is to foster a fun and positive environment where learners can work on teamwork and problem-solving skills in an environment that is safe and uplifting.
