每週 1 小時. At the end of each reading, I will discuss key conflict resolution themes and components and how it relates to the character, plot, problem, and resolution of the story. A list of questions will be posted to the Outschool classroom. Each student will be asked to post the answers to these questions in written format or via uploaded video. I will interact with the students by responding to their answers. To engage with other students, everyone will also be asked to share alternative solutions for dealing with the character’s conflict, and which as a class we will vote for the best fun and creative solution.完成證書

課堂經歷
In this 4 week flex class, we will explore themes of conflict resolution for young readers through the magic of books using read-alouds for children, in the 4-8 age range. Each lesson will be 30 minutes. Children do not need to know how to read yet, as the story will be read to them, followed by a discussion of conflict resolution-related themes, present in the story. This course is a great introduction to themes of communication, respect, sharing, morals, working together, bullying, and friendships for students at young developmental age. In each class, a recording of me reading the book of the week will be posted every Sunday for viewing. During the reading, I will pause at key moments to ask students for predictions about what’s to come and to explore conflicts as they arise. Students may write down the answers to these questions as they are asked, but it is not required. To engage with other students, everyone will also be asked to share alternative solutions for dealing with the character’s conflict, and which as a class we will vote for the best fun and creative solution. Please view the syllabus to see the books we we will be reading are, and the respective themes.
