Comma Correction: Using Commas With Energetic Teacher Debra Shepherd will be interactive. This class will include lecture, games, discussion, whole-class practice, and independent practice. We will be using a program which is completely free. You will not need to do anything for your student to be successful. Additionally, there will be homework to reinforce what we practice in class. 


Weekly Agenda:
1st meeting: Comma usage separating words, phrases, or clauses in a series

2nd meeting: Comma usage in addresses, numbers, signatures, and titles

3rd meeting: Comma usage in geographical names, items in dates, and addresses in a sentence

4th meeting: Comma usage in compound sentences (overview - not a complete training)

5th meeting: Comma usage with transition words, salutations in letter/email writing, and separating coordinate adjectives modifying (describing) a noun

6th meeting: Comma usage with quotations and Tags

7th meeting: Comma usage with appositive phrases and adverbial clauses

8th meeting: Comma usage with complex sentences (overview - not a complete training)

Please note that I will go over compound and complex sentences, but it is not an exhaustive class. I have separate classes specifically for compound and complex sentences as they are typically require more than one day of class to master the skill.
