Course Description: Self-Paced Exploration of Emotions and Creative Expression

In this self-paced course, learners will explore the connection between emotions and creative expression using colors, shapes, and lines. Through a series of guided videos, interactive exercises, and downloadable worksheets, participants will learn about the six basic emotions—sad, mad, joy, scared, peaceful, and powerful. This lesson introduces these emotions, explores how they feel in the body, and provides creative activities to express them visually through art.

Learners will be introduced to the "feelings wheel," a valuable tool for expanding emotional vocabulary and understanding the nuances of different feelings. They’ll also engage in gentle body awareness exercises to connect physical sensations with emotions.

Course Structure: The course is designed with a balance of video tutorials, hands-on activities, and reflective prompts. Learners will progress at their own pace through:

Introduction to Emotions: An engaging overview of the six core emotions with simple explanations and visual aids.
Guided Art Activities: Step-by-step drawing and coloring exercises, where learners can use colors, shapes, and lines to creatively express each emotion. Each exercise includes prompts to encourage self-expression and exploration.
Body Awareness Practice: Short, simple exercises guiding learners to notice where they feel emotions in their bodies, helping build awareness of the mind-body connection.

How It Works:
Flexible Engagement: Learners can complete this lesson in any order and work at their own pace. This lesson includes video guidance, downloadable materials, and suggested art activities that allow learners to express themselves creatively.

Learners who love to talk or prefer to express themselves through art will find this course welcoming. While active participation through art is encouraged, sharing personal thoughts or experiences is entirely optional. This course aims to support learners in expanding their emotional awareness through creative, non-therapeutic self-expression.

By the end of this course, learners will have a richer understanding of emotions and a new set of tools for expressing them through art. Please note, this course is focused on artistic learning and does not provide therapeutic services or outcomes. In this self-paced, educational course, learners explore emotions through creative expression with colors, shapes, and lines. This course is focused on artistic learning, not therapy, and aims to expand emotional awareness in a supportive, non-therapeutic way.

This class supports unique learning needs like ADHD, Dyslexia, and ASD by using a multisensory approach, clear instructions, and flexible pacing. We focus on emotional expression through art in a calm, supportive environment.

There are no prerequisites for this class. Learners just need a willingness to explore their emotions through art. No prior experience or specific skills are required—everyone is welcome to join and express themselves!
供應清單
Children must bring their own paper and their choice of coloring tools, such as crayons, markers, or colored pencils, to enhance their creative expression during the class. Additionally, they can choose to bring the printed handouts provided in the course for reference. All other materials and curriculum will be supplied during the course.
