In this class, students will be introduced to all aspects of MLA style formatting and citations! Using the most up to date of the Modern Language Association handbook, the class will be broken into three sections which will utilize lecture, in-class examples, and activities for students to test their knowledge. Part 1: Paper Formatting--Students will learn how to properly format their writing to MLA specifics and learn where to find the tools they need in their word processor. The instructor...
Upon on the end of the class, students will be able to produce MLA style citations, identify resources for help, and understand what plagiarism is and how to prevent it.
I have been teaching at the university level for nearly four years, and have graded and edited hundreds of papers from college freshmen in those years. I have been instructing writing on the Outschool platform since 2018.
We will refer to Google Docs, the Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL), and Easy Bib for citation help
