In this one-on-one, one time tutoring class, students will focus on AP Lang skills.

Students may submit a synthesis, rhetorical analysis, or argument essay that they have written that we can review during the session. 

During our review we will discuss the thesis statement, evidence, commentary, and possible sophistication. We will note strengths and areas of improvement, so that the student can revise the essay if desired.

For students wishing for exam prep during a tutoring session, we will look at a practice prompt and brainstorm how to best approach the prompt. This will include discussing a thesis, specific evidence, and commentary. Depending on the prompt, we may also discuss how to situate the issue in a broader context.
