This one time Christmas themed class will challenge students to solve a variety of math problems, using an escape room format. Students will work together to find the clues hidden around Christmas Town in order to work the math questions and solve the riddle. They must answer the questions and solve the riddle in 30 minutes. Math problems are at second and third grade level and involve a variety of mixed operation word problems, data, time, money, simple fractions, and basic geometry. Students will be encouraged to interact with peers to solve the problems; teacher will ask guiding questions and offer possible strategies if the group is stuck.
