In this three day class learners will be given an opportunity to complete fun science experiments each day. To start each class we will sing a Christmas themed song and then we will complete our science experiment. Day one: We will sing Frosty the snowman and make a snowstorm in a jar. Day two: We will sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and make Rudolph’s Toothpaste. Day three: We will sing Santa is Coming to Town and make Santa’s Magic Milk. During class learners will also be given opportunities to share their favorite parts of Christmas. **Substitutions of science supplies may not result in same results**

snowstorm in a jar (jar, baby oil to fill jar to 3/4 full, water, glitter, blue food coloring, white paint, spoon, small bowl, Alka-Seltzer tabs) Reindeer Toothpaste (1/2 cup peroxide, clear water bottle or soda bottle (not can), dish soap, 2 teaspoons active dry yeast, 1/4 cup warm water, red food coloring. You may also want a tray for easy cleanup as the liquid will bubble out of the container) Santa's Magic Milk (whole milk, food coloring, dish soap, craft stick or cotton swab, mixing bowl, baking soda, vinegar) **Substitutions of science supplies may not result in same results**

Hello, my name is Ms. Stephanie! I have been on Outschool for almost 3 years and teaching for the past twelve years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Elementary Education. I have been a tutor and a lead classroom teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow. I believe children learn best through having fun and participating in engaging activities.
I also have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. I am able to use this degree to teach learners about emotions, fears, personality, etc.
I have visited several countries and lived in four different states. I have two children of my own.
