課堂經歷
Did you know that all around the world children do different things to celebrate this holiday season? In this class students will be able to share what their families do to celebrate this season of joy. Then I will show students a country on the map and we will learn more about holiday traditions in that country. Some countries we will discuss are Peru, Iceland, Poland, Greenland, Australia, Norway, South Africa and many more! Some traditions may make you laugh, some may make you say “Ew!”, and some your learner may want to do themselves. There will also be a coloring page that students can color during class if they wish. This class will be relaxed and full of fun while virtually travelling the world together! This class is a secular class. Traditions discussed in this class are typically done in each particular country. However, this does not mean that every community or home would celebrate in the same way. Sources used for this class range from National Geographic, World Encyclopedia, the Museum of Science and Industry and National Geographic Kids.

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
