Dear Parents and Learners! Thank you for your interest in my chess class! :) This class is welcome to all learners who wish to learn about chess, who already know the rules of the game and wants to apply tactics and improve their game play. Tactics are essential throughout the game and especially during the mid-game. This series of class is a continuation from the class Chess for Rookies: Introduction Part V. The goal of the class is to recognize common tactics, their application and defence against them. In addition to simply using them, we also aim to encourage creativity in students and team work by creating and solving puzzles together.
We will be using some screen sharing. If your learner is not familiar with the notation in chess, please make sure that he/she has access to the drawing feature in Zoom. This will allow the student to demonstrate the move on the screen. We might also play a game in the end using the platform Chessonlinefree. This website should not track your data. Depending on your browser, I would recommend to have an add blocker to avoid distraction.
