Because they make up everything! ⚛︎ Join us to explore the tiny particle that make up everything you see around you, from the air you breathe, to the food you eat, to the hair on your head. Students will use this session to draw and label a diagram of an atom, and calculate how many protons, neutrons and electrons are in different elements!
As a Secondary School Science Teacher, I have taught this exact lesson countless times. We will be using Bohr's model of the atom, as per the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 science students.
All learners will need is a pen and paper! Learners who struggle with basic subtraction may want to use a calculator.
