Welcome! In this festive class we will be baking a different delicious holiday treat for 4 weeks in a row. (If you have any allergies or need to make substitutions please do so!) At the beginning of each class students will be able to have a themed show and tell. After that we will move into our delicous recipe for the week. (Each week the show and tell theme and recipe will be posted in the classroom.) Family and friends will not be able to get enough of your child's holiday goodies. To add to the festive spirit we will also be listening to a couple Christmas songs each class such as Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. We will also be reading one of the following stories each class: The Night Before Christmas, Santa's Toy Shop, Jingle Bells and The Nutcracker. Week 1: Wonderful Whipped Shortbread Cookies Week 2: Scrumptious Sugar Cookies Week 3: Glorious Ginger Cookies Week 4: Remarkable Rolo Cookies *Every week the ingredients will be posted in the classroom for the class that we are on. Please remember to have your email notifications turned on! *I will not always be baking/making at the same at the same time as the children are. I prefer to give my full attention to instruction and detail. (Helping children with each step so they can be independent.) I will be guiding them step by step and helping each student move at the pace that they need plus reading stories and facilitating. *Coloring pages are available when you register. *I suggest pre measuring everything so that your child has an easier time making these treats. *Please make sure that your oven is on and heated to the temperature needed for the days baking. *Parental guidance is needed if using electric appliances and for all use of the oven. (Placing things in, taking things out, taking treats out of the pan if needed.)

This class will help children build confidence in the kitchen, public speaking and in themselves. Seeing that they made something from start to finish is a great feeling, especially for little ones.

Parental guidance is dependant on the skill level of each child. It will always be needed if using electric appliances and for all use of the oven. (Placing things in, taking things out, taking treats out of the pan if needed.)
As this is a baking class please be aware that there may be basic ingredients that can cause an allergic reaction if your child has allergies. You are welcome to substitute any ingredients as needed.

Welcome!
When students are interested in what they are doing, learning they will WANT to learn! I hope that your students will love to learn and become lifelong learners. I want all children to feel comfortable, engaged, encouraged and have fun in my classes I have worked with students from ages 0-14 for over 20 years. I have held several other jobs than teaching which I adored but at this point this is my passion.
My teaching experience comes from multiple sources. Online I have taught thousands of children overseas to learn English through VIPKid. VIPKid (now VIPTeacher) is known for their vigorous standards and training. I have also taught for an elite online program, called Synthesis. Synthesis is an elite program created by the one of the founders of Ad Astra. (Ad Astra is the school that Elon Musk created at SpaceX.) I have also taught thousands of children right here on Outschool since 2020.
Offline teaching experience comes from teaching at a Montessori pre-school, teaching swim and gym classes, summer camps and Sunday school. I also have taught students with a wide range of mental and physical abilities. All students are welcome in my classes and I am willing to make accommodations if requested.
My education consists of a BA in psychology, a BA in Conflict Resolution, TESL, TEOFL, over 40 online teaching certificates, mental health first aid certification, and palliative care certification.
I have two children who are everything to me. I homeschool them and we love going on adventures together. In my spare time I love travelling, baking, camping, Disney, swimming, the beach, water activities, working out, reading and all things full of sparkle and glitter! You can always find me taking a course or earning some kind of certificate.
