If you love writing stories, practicing creative writing skills, or creating characters, then this camp is a wonderful option for you! This class is ALL about character development! We will learn how to develop our fiction characters with fun writing exercises. In doing this, we will also explore how to characterize these characters. What will a typical class look like? Using a PowerPoint, we will start each class by talking about a different way to characterize characters. Then, we will...
Students will learn, practice, and explore the 5 types of characterization: Physical Descriptions, actions/attitudes/behavior, inner thoughts, reactions, and speech. Students will learn how to use these tools to create main and supporting characters. Students will learn how to write these characters in a natural way in their stories.
