Character concept art is one of the most popular genres of art that many people are drawn to. It is often the focal point of any good story, video game, card game or board art. To succeed, any artist needs to have the skills to build an exciting cast of characters with a diverse look and a unique backstory. Will it be an alluring fire mage who is destined to save the world? Or a dangerous rogue with a sad past? A shapeshifter that hides his elf heritage? A spirit fairy who searches for her...
Students learn the elements of how to draw a variety of characters. We focus on different part of the anatomy from facial features to body shapes. We learn about perspective and different character poses. We will also work on drawing out clothing detail. We learn how to use current fantasy art examples to give us inspiration that we can incorporate in our work.

Homework is optional. I ask students to finish off the detail of their drawings and present it at the beginning of next week's class. Note: sharing is is optional. I am sensitive to that not all students may wish to share their work with their class directly.0 - 1 每週課外時間
