課堂經歷
In this weekly art class, students will learn how to draw with chalk pastels. We will cover different techniques and subjects, and students will complete a drawing each week. Students will have the opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. The class is open to students of all skill levels. Subjects explored will include but not be limited to: - animals - portraiture - figure drawing - fantasy subjects (mermaids, fairies, etc) - landscape, seascape, cityscape Each class will begin with a demo of useful techniques based on the week's subject matter. After this, independent work time will take place. Students will have the opportunity to ask for advice and critique from myself and other peers during this time.

Chalk pastels of any brand (If/when students decide that they are serious about this medium, I highly recommend Prismacolor NuPastels. It is the brand I use myself, and the brand most art school drawing classes will have students use for pastel assignments.) Regular graphite pencil Eraser Kneaded Eraser (optional) Sketchbook or Paper Watercolor (optional) Drawing Paper of various colors (optional)
