Have you ever wondered what the membrane of the cell does? How does it know what can enter and exit the cell? It is an amazing structure and is very specialized in performing its job! We will dive in by learning about its molecular structure in such a way that students will be amazed. A virtual journey to see how selective the membrane is as it acts like the "gatekeeper." As a Registered Nurse and Educator, I have always had a passion for health and wellness. Showing children the fascinating facts about our cells is amazing! They can really grasp the concepts of the various types of cells in our bodies through a visual depiction and virtual trip. It truly is awesome to see their faces as we explore the plasma membrane and how it functions. I want to pass along these wonderful experiences to see where it may take them next.
