The NASA website and the book The Shortest Day by Susan Cooper provide source material for the curriculum. These resources have helped me gain knowledge but will not be used in class. Students will be provided with handouts that have been designed by me and are a part of my personal curriculum from The Montessori ReStore.

Ms. Nora has been teaching children about the science of the winter solstice for many years both in the public and virtual school setting. She has her Masters Degree in Special Education and therefor has become adept at breaking down complex concepts for young audiences through hands on learning, storytelling and play.
