This class involves the construction of a model. I do need ALL students to have their video cameras turned on. I can assist them by viewing what they are doing. Students will learn about DNA and the scientist that made it happen. through a coloring diagram, 2-3 minute Youtube videos, and thought-provoking discussions as we build the DNA model. The goal is to learn the history behind who discovered DNA. Recreate the double helix shape and learn the vocabulary involved in it. Also, to make young minds think about how far can mankind can go with coding DNA in the future.
I've taught Genetics for over forty years in my Biology and Forensics classes. I would enjoy teaching your child about why it's important to learn genetics.
