In this class, students will be creating cartoony sand paintings (with special colored sand), as well as create cartoon-themed ornamental rock masterpieces. This class is designed to encourage children’s creativity, confidence building, and hands-on aspect of art projects.
✨ITINERARY✨
【Week 1】INTRO / DRAWING CARTOONS (FOR SANDART)
✔️ Introduction / Slideshow
✔️ Students will practice drawing cartoons.
❖ Draw characters from photo to cartoon. (People and/or Animals)
❖ Make more...- 1. Students will learn to design a sand painting & ornamental rocks using creativity, imagination, & critical thinking. 2. Students will discover the important elements of art such as kinesthetic motions (using their hands to create art), self expression through freedom of design to create art. 3. Students will learn to recognize the use of colors and how they interact with one another in an art piece.

✔️ Glue (Elmer's Glue works great) ✔️ Pencils and Pens ✔️ Railroad/Poster board ✔️ String ✔️ Paint Pens for Rock Painting ✔️ Rocks to paint on ✔️ Colored Sand ✔️ Glitter (optional, for extra art effects) ✔️ Old Newspapers (or something else to put under artwork, so that glue and paint don't get onto table underneath) ✔️ Paint brush (for the glue) ✔️ Bowl/Cup of water for glue brush ✔️ Paper towels ✔️ Plastic spoon (for carefully putting the sand on the glue) You can find these materials at Michaels, Amazon, and many other places.
