During this 40 minutes workshop we will go over times tables up to 12 x 12. I will teach some tricks like for the times 2, times 4, times 5, times 10, times 11... and the famous trick for times 9! I love to get each child to participate and be active in their learning. I will use visuals and oral directives and even a trick using hands... to reach different learning styles. Each child will be encouraged to use all three of the techniques in order to increase the probability of retention. At the end of the workshop, we will play a game of Arcademics online together to practice what we learned.

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am a teacher with over 20 years teaching experience.I currently teach a class with children on the autism spectrum. I've taught everything from grades kindergarten to grade 8 and even a high school art class! Before graduating from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, I completed a bachelor's degree in visual arts. My goal is to help kids love learning! Every day brings an opportunity to learn something new and when kids learn, they grow! I love cooking, visual arts, guinea pigs and anything to do with sunflowers! I speak French and English.
