This class is flexible schedule. That means there will be no live meetings of the class. The learners will need to practice the letters and submit their practice samples in order to get individualized feedback.評估

In this flexible schedule class with no live meetings, the students will learn how to write each letter of the American English alphabet, both capital and lowercase. We will work on shape, size, and spacing. We will then go on to use those letters in words. Each lesson will include a demonstration as well as time to practice. Students will need to practice what they have learned to help them form the letters correctly. The main focus of this class will be the mechanics of printing letters. Each student will be encouraged to submit their work for more individualized feedback regarding their handwriting to help them improve their writing. The class will follow the following format: I will post a Canva link or YYouTubelink to a video demonstrating the formation of each letter we are working on for the week in isolation and words. Students will be encouraged to talk about what went well with their writing and what they are having more difficulties with. I will provide videos to provide more guidance as needed for individual learners as well. Week 1: Lowercase c, a, d, g h, t, p, e, l, f, u, y, i, j, k, r, and sLowercaseower case letters o, w, b, v, m, n, x, q, z, and extra practice with tricky connections Week 3: Upper case letters and Signature practice Week 4: Sentences and Pangram sentences After your child has learned how to write each letter of their name, I will create a video demonstrating how to put the letters together to form a signature. Also, if you or your learner shares some of their interests, I will create videos showing how to form words that are associated with that interest as well. My teaching style is informal. I will do a demonstration of how to form each of the letters we are working on for the week. Then, I will ask students to share their work as they practice so that feedback can be given.

This lesson will help us develop some terms that we will be using to help form each letter correctly as well as practice writing the letters c, a, d, and g. We will practice writing some real words and some nonsense words. As we learn more letters, we will move from using nonsense words to real words.

Research has shown that learning to write in cursive is beneficial for children who have unique learning needs. This class will show the learner step-by-step how to form each letter in isolation as well as in words.
