Camp - Roblox - 遊戲設計 - 製作自己的 Obby 遊戲

Roblox is a fungame which teaches kids physics, logic and game development. It is well known for the fact that all games on roblox are designed by the community and is a fun and safe place for kids to learn game designing, vfx etc. In this 8 week course, our young learners will learn the basics of game designing, creating an obstacle course game which they can share and play with their friends.

Device : PC /Laptop , Roblox Studio is only available on Windows and Mac and does not work on Tablets or Chrome books . Please ensure you have a mouse for this class and the devices are not just touch screen.

Skill level : basic reading skills , beginner to coding

Day 1: About Roblox games, What are obby games, downloading studio, knowing the interface, panels and toolbox. Task - change you spawn colour. 
Day 2: Camera works ,keyboard shortcuts, properties usage and panel. Task - Make colourful pebbles 
Day 3: Making 2 obstacle paths using parts and properties. Task - decorate your paths
Day 4: Making a bridge, adding constraints and testing our obstacle bridge. Task - decorate your bridge
Day 5: Lava blocks and scripting - writing functions and events
Day 6 – Script to kill a player and testing on lava jumps  
Day 7 -  Task – Lava checkers path creation and checkpoint testing. 
Day 8 – Game publishing and testing  

We will go slow so learners can take their time to explore and add their creativity to the game and this is not a code heavy game to make so it is simple and fun for beginners. For each class we have a fun challenge of task for learners to do and share their experience. This is an interactive class , where teacher leads by demonstration and then waits for learners to follow and complete their task.
