Speed cubing is a highly addictive and competitive "sport." With competitions happening monthly all over the world. Those who get really good can even earn money and sponsorships. While most of us will never gain worldwide fame from speed cubing, just getting to be apart of the community, can create a lot of friendships. I have been solving the cube for years. I have old man / adult hands, so my times are not as fast as some, but I am efficient. My average solve is around 30 seconds. I solve using CFOP which is the most common method used by speed cubers. I am a teacher, and have taught many children and adults how to solve the cube. I have a lot of experience with pacing the instruction so that it makes sense and so that students get sufficient practice with each step as they progress towards becoming expert speed cubers.
