Focused Lecture Time: The first 35 minutes are all about unlocking math concepts. I'll guide you through the key ideas and strategies you need to know. It’s not just about getting the right answers; it’s about understanding why they’re right. 

Interactive Problem-Solving: Next, we switch gears to hands-on learning. On our virtual whiteboard, I’ll walk you through actual California Math problems. You’ll see step-by-step how to tackle these questions, turning tricky problems into easy wins.

Your Turn to Shine: In the last 10 minutes, it’s your turn. You’ll try out problems on your own, but don’t worry – I'm right there to help if you get stuck. This is where you get to apply what you’ve learned and build confidence.

Engaging Interaction: Throughout the class, I’ll ask questions, and you can answer out loud or on the whiteboard. It's a two-way street; your thoughts and questions are a big part of the learning.

We are going to learn how to solve math questions on a California Math Practice Exam.  


This one-time class will contain 35 mins of lecture time and then 10 mins of students' activities.

My teaching style is start with explanation of the math concepts involved.  Afterwards, I will show on the virtual white board how to actually solve some past exam problems.  Finally, the students will be asked to solve some additional problems on their own, with my assistance.

The interaction will involve me asking them questions which they can reply verbally or write the answers on the white board.
