Walt Disney has been a giant in four consumer markets namely, Walt Disney studios and motion pictures, Disney Theme parks and resorts, Disney T.V channels and media networks and Disney consumer products or merchandising. During this class we take a deeper looking into the organizations. Learners will engage in various business discussions to include goal setting, color psychology, branding, marking, mission, vision, economics, leadership, ethics, social responsibility, human resources, and more. Assignments will reinforce discussions and culminate in a final project. Students will pick one topic to complete a project about Disney. Through slides and discussions we will cover the areas below. Day One: History of Disney Day Two: Porter's 5 Forces Day Three: SWOT Analysis Day Four: Business Strategies and the Not so Wonderful World of Disney Day Five: 25 Other Companies owned by Disney Welcome and overview 3-4 minutes Introduction of new skills 12-25 minutes Putting skills into practice 12-25 minutes Review, assignments, and enrichment 5-10 minutes
