Do you like stories about powerful, famous people?  Are you interested in finding out more about how the Elon Musk, the richest person on the planet, gained control of Tesla and grew his fortune? Or how Volkswagen rigged emission tests to make it seem like the cars were safe for the environment.

Business Battles - is a fun look behind the scenes at some of the best known companies and what  they have done to get ahead. This includes false adverting, lying to customers, and rigging quality control tests..  Students will get to see some historic business rivalries, the biggest business scoundrels, huge mistakes and big strategic successes.  The course will showcase famous company competitors and how they battled their way to the top of their industry. Students will enjoy seeing see how key decisions and events shape a company's fortunes, their stock prices, and even the products we use today. The course meets 1x a week for 4 weeks -each class session is 1 hour long.

This class will use video clips, engaging photos/ graphics to tell stories that will motivate students to learn more about business, the power of advertising, the stock market. Students will get to be CEOs and as we discuss the "what ifs" and "should haves" of critical moments in famous companies' histories. Students will learn how to think like a business owner and utilize resources to find out more! 

This class is interactive, game driven, not lecture-based, so students will have the opportunity to discuss, share opinions, and ask questions.  I will help students discover how current events affect company's decisions about the products to make, sell, and promote now  so they are more interested in the world around them. Using video clips, examples of real companies like Facebook, Uber, and Amazon, you will quickly enhance your business and  stock market knowledge.
