In this fun and engaging brick building class, students will show off their creative building skills while learning about vehicles, transportation, nature, buildings or tools and their uses. Students will take turns rolling the cube and choosing a card to determine what we will build. The four categories for building are: nature, buildings, vehicles, and tools. As we are building our creations, the students will learn about the categories. For example: If something from the vehicle category...
Students will learn brick identification while talking about transportation, nature, buildings and much more.
I taught several brick building sessions after-school and over the summer and would like to share what I learned with the students.
bricks, small baseplates (use whatever you have, big or small, but the small ones work great for the quick, small builds in this class) wheels and axels in case we need to build a car (if you have them. Cars can easily be built without wheels, and a little imagination).
