The Building Consent Culture workshop is designed to empower teenagers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to establish healthy relationships, set personal boundaries, and respect the autonomy of others. Teens will learn their legal rights and how to advocate for them. With the tools gained from this workshop, teens will be better equipped to navigate interpersonal challenges, laying the foundation for positive and healthy relationships throughout their lives. By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 1) Define consent and recognize different forms of coercion. 2) Understand their own boundaries and how to respect the boundaries of others. 3) Confidently express their boundaries and accept rejection graciously. 4) Know their legal rights and how to advocate for them.

To educate teens with a comprehensive understanding of consent and its pivotal role in fostering a healthier and more inclusive society.
To empower teens with the confidence to practice consent in their daily lives, engage in open discussions about it, and become advocates for building consent culture in their communities.

A basic understanding of sex and sexual activity is recommended, but not required.
This workshop is relevant for age 13-19 (7th-12th grade). Whether you're heading to high school or college in the coming years, this is an essential convo.

I've done this Building Consent Culture workshop in Chicago Public Schools 28 times reaching over 400 students.
I'm a certified sexuality educator by Modern Sex Therapy Institutes (150 hours) currently undergoing AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) supervision.
I'm trained in the Our Whole Lives curriculum and facilitated sex ed to 4th-6th graders for two years.
I have a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Italian Studies from Santa Clara University.
