課堂經歷
Students will be introduced to simple nail painting prep, basic nail anatomy and vocabulary terms, and will learn a technique to create a smooth layer of polish. After, we will learn a fun beginner friendly nail art technique to paint a polar bear face on nails. Students will receive a printable PDF practice sheet to use during class (if they want practice before painting directly on nails) or to practice on after as well. Students are encouraged to make the nail art their own by alternating nails, adding extra design details or keeping it simple.

Students will learn basic nail terminology and nail prep, a professional technique to create a smooth layer of polish, and will be encouraged to use their artistic creativity as we learn a beginner friendly polar bear nail art technique.

Because of the possibly messy nature of nail polish, for younger students unfamiliar with painting, it is recommended to have an adult somewhat close if help is needed. Also, please have polish bottle lids loosened and able to be opened by students.

* Something to protect the work surface (even paper towels can work well.) * Nail polish--base color (I use blue but any medium to dark or bright color will work. You just want enough contrast that the white polish 'pops' on the base color.) * White nail polish * Black nail polish * A couple squares of tin foil * To make the design--either a dotting tool, a few Qtips, or the back of a thin watercolor type paintbrush works well. A toothpick can be used for the eyes to make very small dots as well.) OPTIONAL: * Plastic or paper plate (optional, but great for keeping the polishes and supplies in one spot and also nice to put the tin foil on when we do the design part of the class.) * Baby wipes or Qtips can be nice for quick clean up around the nail but are optional. * Clear top coat (optional) * The attached worksheet
