課堂經歷
In this five day course, students will learn all about musical theatre performance. Students will rehearse for a mini-show. They will learn singing techniques, dance and choreography, and story creation. Each day will have a specific focus, and towards the end of the course, we will bring it all together for a show for parents. This is a highly interactive class. Students should be expected to practice the songs and dances outside of class. Students will learn vocal warm-ups, and practice singing songs from their favorite Broadway musicals. Special emphasis will be given to matching the pitch of the notes. They will also learn choreography to the chorus of their performance. Finally, acting and improvisation activities will be taught. Students will also put together a costume and either a digital or paper backdrop for the performance. All of these performance elements will be put together for our own show using songs from the selected musical. I am a very friendly and encouraging teacher that has high expectations for my students. Students should enroll in this course if they have a true desire to learn about musical theatre. The only requirement is a want to learn, but this class is perfect for beginners and seasoned performers.
