課堂經歷
In this class, students will be introduced to movement and body vocabulary in French! The class will begin with a welcome song, brief hello to each student and then we begin our calendar routine, focusing on counting, days of the week, the months etc. Then students will learn thematic vocabulary through flashcards and songs and participate in various movement activities! The class will end with a goodbye song. Everything will be taught en français but will use English as well to aide with understanding. There will be lots of repetition and interaction in French!

Please make sure the child has room to move around and dance. Remove any objects that may cause child to trip or fall over. Have a water bottle handy for rehydration. Please quietly redirect them if they are not following directions

Hello! My name is Anna Maria Marando and I have been a Kindergarten French Immersion teacher in B.C, Canada for the past 10 years! I am excited to be teaching French in this virtual platform.
Some of the classes I offer:
- Sing and Play with French Circle Time: A thematic approach to learning French vocabulary
- Private tutoring for grades K-1 French Immersion (can be ongoing based on students needs)
- Various seasonal classes such as Winter Animals, Easter, Food, Insects, Halloween, Christmas, Zoo, my Body...and more added regularly!
Teaching Philosophy:
I love teaching French through songs and play-based experiences! My philosophy behind teaching is to make my virtual classes fun, playful and engaging all while learning a new language! When learning a new language, music is the best way to retain vocabulary. The catchy melodies and repetitive language help children learn quickly, all while having fun! I believe its important when learning a new language that children speak as much as possible! So my classes involve a lot of interaction!
Background:
In 2020, I discovered that there was a need for more French options for young children, especially in a virtual setting. I started teaching a French Circle Time class via ZOOM and LOVED the experience! So I decided to pursue this new path which has brought me to Outschool!
About Me:
I am tri-lingual myself. I grew up speaking Italian and English and learned French in school. When I am not teaching, I am usually with my 3 daughters or cooking something in the kitchen! I can’t wait to meet you all!
