Are you looking for a fun and educational way to keep your child engaged over the summer? My Summer Reading Bingo Challenge Class is the perfect solution! Designed specifically for kids ages 10-13, this program combines the excitement of a game with the enriching experience of reading, ensuring your child has a summer full of adventure and learning.

Structure of the class:

-Week 1 - 

I will introduce myself. Students will introduce themselves.
I will introduce the structure for this class and expectations for respect and kindness in this class.
I will introduce the Summer Reading Bingo Challange and how it will work over the course of this class.
I will explain and model good questions that students can/should ask when other students are sharing books with the class.

-Weeks 2 and beyond (end date is dependent upon when students are ending their summer break) -

Teacher will welcome new students and ask them about the books that they have read that week.
Teacher will update the class Bingo board.
Students will each have time to share one book (possibly more depending on class size) that they read that week. 
Students will answer any questions about their books from other students in the class (Example - Who was the author of that book? Are there more in the series?)
As time allows, teacher will share a suggestion for a book that will help students complete one of the Bingo spaces on their Bingo challenge card. 



Why will you be glad that you signed your child up for this class?
1. Encrouages your child to read regularly.
    Your child will be encouraged to read a little each week so that they can fill out their Bingo card and see their name on Best Teach's Bingo Chart.
2. Fosters social interaction.
    Each learner will have the chance to talk about the books that they are reading or have recently read. Students will be encouraged to ask questions.
3. Learn about new books.
    With each student sharing books that they are reading (as well as the teacher), your student is going to learn about books that they never knew existed!

1. Meeting new friends.
   Your child is going to be so excited to meet friends in this class and chat about their favorite books.
2. No pressure!!!
   Your child will not be forced to read any specific book or at a level that is beyond their capabilities. Children will not be shamed for books that are "too easy". 
3. Feelings of accomplishment!
   Your child is going to be so excited to see their name on the teacher's Bingo board each week. It will give the child a huge sense of accomplishment!

My teaching style is student centered. I work very hard to create relationships with my students. My top priority is creating an atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
