Ms. Colleen is a bilingual (French and English) preschool teacher. She has a degree in Child and Youth Study and has been a licensed Early Childhood Educator for over 25 years. Her calm and patient manner helps young children feel comfortable and have fun learning. Ms. Colleen speaks slowly and clearly and uses familiar stories and songs so that even children new to learning French will understand what happens in each lesson. Each recorded lesson is about 15 minutes long and begins and ends with a song. Familiar stories will be told in French using slides, puppets and felt pieces. PDF copies of the songs will be available for download.

Hi, I'm Ms. Colleen.
I'm an Early Childhood Educator and home educating parent. I have my degree in Child Study from Mount Saint Vincent University and I have been teaching for 28 years. I am also a certified EFL (English as a Foreign Language) instructor. I speak both English and French. In 2020 I discovered my love of teaching online. I guess every cloud really does have a silver lining! My family and I live in beautiful Atlantic Canada. I'm excited to share fun and interactive learning activities with your children! Teaching is truly my passion and that shines through in my lessons. My teaching style is calm, patient, and warm. I believe that childhood is a journey, not a race. I love to learn new things and I try to instill a love of learning through my lessons. I love to laugh. I like to incorporate singing into my lessons because I believe it helps learners relax and absorb information, especially when learning a new language. I hope to see you soon in one of my classes!
