每週 1 小時. > Each week assignments, vocabulary lists and games, review games, lesson slides, and notes are provided after class. All work is optional based on what the adult in charge of their education requires them to do. I am happy to grade and return any work that is turned in! > One optional project will be provided for this specific course. This project can be as time/labor-intensive as your student wants to make them, the purpose of the project is to give students an opportunity to show their understanding of the topic. I will give them several ideas to choose from, but they also have the option to present a project idea for consideration. > A vocabulary quiz and a unit test are also provided for those that would like to test their knowledge in this way.評估
> We grade and/or give feedback on all work completed by the student, and a report card will be available for each student. > We also informally asses students by using Nearpod during lessons, and by using their verbal or chat box responses to questions and discussions during the live lesson. > Adults can access assignments and grades at all times through the link given at the beginning of the course.等級

This course is a fantastic way to meet your student's science curriculum needs by studying 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗦 with an emphasis on the 𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠! Students will meet live once a week and be provided with optional assignments to complete outside of our class time each week. Classes will include several activities designed to capture every type of learner including illustrating, organizing, reading, writing, watching, researching, exploring, and game-day review activities! I'm a firm believer in creating engaging learning experiences for every type of learner, and I know middle school students will look forward to each class.

𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪
This course is designed to be a full curriculum covering the 𝗕𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗦 with an emphasis on the 𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠
> Objective: Students will be able to identify the main functions of the circulatory, digestive, endocrine, excretory, muscular, respiratory, skeletal, and nervous systems and how they are structured. Students will be able to identify the main organs associated with each system, tips on keeping these systems healthy, and common diseases that affect each system.
> We will explore this topic in 10 live class periods. Students have the option to complete approximately 2 assignments each week and a project at the end of the class. (Projects can be as time/labor-intensive as the student chooses) Our last week in of the course will include a fun game-style review/informal assessment! Students will also be provided with an optional cummulitive test.

TEKS Science 7.12 B - identify the main functions of the systems of the human organism, including the circulatory,
respiratory, skeletal, muscular, digestive, excretory, reproductive, integumentary, nervous, and endocrine systems

⚠️ This class does cover the endocrine system, and includes male and female endocrine glands and the hormones each gland secretes. This discussion is strictly scientific, but I do like for parents to know! ⚠️
📍Kahoot will be used during weeks 6 & 8 as a review tool. It does not require an account.
📍Nearpod will be used most weeks as an interactive presentation tool. It does not require an account.
