Students will participate in our weekly live online discussions and see a PowerPoint presentation as we explore the veterinary care needed for, and many medical conditions that we see in these exotic and pocket pet species. Additional carefully selected YouTube videos will be provided after class for students who would like additional learning. I am a certified veterinary technician and veterinary educator. I have worked for 30 plus years in a practice that sees most common exotic and pocket pet species. I have hands on experience with all of the species we will be discussing. I have a MEd from Colorado State University and and I am now finishing up my second Master’s program and will have a Master of Veterinary Education (MVEd) from Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Veterinary Medicine by spring 2024. I am excited to share my love of veterinary medicine for all of these fascinating animals with your aspiring veterinary professional!
