Learners will write a two-page minimum expository essay. Expository writing allows the learner to select a topic, and with minimal research, focus on structing an essay to inform their audience. 課 2:

Learners will read the selected short story and respond to 1-2 discussions questions in 50-100 words. Learners will also have this time to work on their revisions. 課 3:
Persuasive Essay
Learners will write a persuasive essay and work on avoiding fallacies. The objective is to incorporate logos, pathos, and the ethos which will be later used with rhetorical analysis writing. This assignment will require a 700-900 word count. 課 4:
Revision and short story

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗱𝗲 (𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿):
I started my path to teaching in college when I volunteered with AmeriCorps. I went on to teach in traditional public schools after I completed my M.Ed and received my teaching license, but I quickly learned the school environment was not the ideal setting for myself or my child. That is when I transitioned to homeschooling and teaching online. I have been teaching writing courses for fifteen years. My primary objective in each class is to help the learners feel comfortable and gain confidence in their writing.
