Better Phonics. Better Reader. 1-On-1 Tutoring With Ms. Alexander! Ages 5-9. Your child will build a useful toolkit of skills, as they learn phonics, word study, and effective reading strategies. A boost of confidence comes when letters, sounds, and words make sense.  This class is perfect for native English speakers and second language learners who may  struggle with phonics and decoding.

It is designed to provide ongoing class and homework support in phonics. 

The class curriculum includes phonics, vocabulary, decoding and skills in word study. My classes are structured to give standard-based instruction in phonics, by incorporating the early literacy practices of singing, playing, reading, writing, and talking. 

The structure of each class includes a review of the previous phonemic skill, an introduction of a new skill, and fun activities that thoroughly reinforce both skills. The lessons are packed with entertaining activities that keep your child engaged.
