俄語入門：第 1 部分

During this 5-week course, students will meet twice a week to learn and practice Russian grammar, vocabulary, conversation, reading and writing skills. In the first class of each week, the new learning materials will be introduced and practiced together. Homework assignments will be due before the second class of the week. In the second class of the week, we will go over the homework together and further practice the materials by doing interactive activities, games, and quizzes. With a complex language like Russian, it is crucial to be able to understand and correctly use newly learned grammatical structures and vocabulary before moving to the next topic hence the two-classes-a-week approach. Reading, practicing dialogues, and writing will be a part of every class. 

Week 1:
Russian Alphabet 
Greetings, Introductions and Farewells
Introduction to reading in Russian

Week 2:
"This is" structure
"How are you?"
"Yes/No" questions
"What/Who"  questions

Week 3:
Nouns and adjectives, gender
Conjunctions "or/and"
Personal pronouns
Describing things/people

Week 4:
Counting to 100
Asking/telling age
Verb conjugations

Week 5:
Possessive pronouns
"My Family"
Overview of everything learned
