Students should know the letters in the alphabet, and the sound that each letter makes. In this course, we will learn to blend CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant) words with short vowel sounds. These include words like cat, mom, dad, and bed. We will focus on one vowel sound in each class session, and will review the sounds and words that we have learned in previous classes. Students will learn through seeing written letters and words, by using body movements to represent sound, and through song. This course is especially helpful for young learners (preschool-Kindergarten) who are on the cusp of beginning to read, or for slightly older students (first grade+) who are struggling to consistently read CVC words.

This lesson will review the short vowel sound of the letter O. Students will learn the sound that O makes and begin blending three sounds together at a time using kinesthetic actions. They will be guided to read CVC words containing the letter O by blending all three sounds together. 25 分鐘線上直播課

This lesson will review the short vowel sound of the letter I. Students will learn the sound that I makes and continue blending three sounds together. They will be guided to read CVC words containing the letter I by blending all three sounds together. 25 分鐘線上直播課

Learners should know the letters of the alphabet and their sounds. This will be reinforced throughout class so it's okay if they are not yet proficient with all letter sounds. Students who are proficient typically excel in this class.
