Few people - child or adult - can learn detailed concepts the very first time we hear them. It takes repetition, reinforcement and review. For kids learning to play a musical instrument, there is no shortage of detailed concepts they're expected to learn. Unless your learner is the type to "sit in the front row," proactively ask questions, and ask for explanations to be repeated multiple times, there's a good chance they're missing out on the content they'll learn in this class.

We will loosely follow this format: Explanation/demonstration (15 minutes), exercises/games (20 minutes), questions and answers (10 minutes). Learners may also contact me via the classroom at any time and I will clarify the material or offer them an explanation in a different manner. I will respond to these questions within 24 hours (48 if they are left on a Thursday).

Week 10 (Friday, Apr. 12) - Thirds, fifths and arpeggios
