There will be pre-recorded videos and discussion boards based on the project assigned that week ✩ 🎸Join us Level 2 of Beginning Guitar where we will continue to expand on your skills through new chords, strum patterns, tablature, and more! FREE workbook + play-along videos for practice included 🎸 🚨This course is designed for beginning guitar students who have taken our Level 1 course- if your student has never taken guitar with us, please message us before enrolling to ensure that this level is a good fit for your kiddo. Students should already know how to play simplified C major, G major, and A minor chords. They should understand how to read and play basic TAB. We will be building off of this knowledge and learning new chords, exercises, and reading more advanced notes. ♫ 𝙒𝙀𝙀𝙆𝙇𝙔 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙉𝙏: ♫ Students will... ♪ Watch a series of pre-recorded play-along videos by one of our instructors, Ms. G ♪ Practice + submit a video recording of exercises + songs for the week to their instructor via private message ♪ Receive positive feedback + comments from their instructor on their weekly video submission ♫ 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙀 𝘽𝙍𝙀𝘼𝙆𝘿𝙊𝙒𝙉 ... ♫ 🎸WEEK 1: ♪ Guitar Level 1 review play-along lesson ♪ Finger exercise 1 ♪ D major chord ♪ Switching between D & G major ♪ G, C, & D Song: Happy Birthday 🎸WEEK 2: ♪ Review play-along lesson ♪ TAB Song 1: Mary Had A Little Lamb ♪ Strumming with G & D ♪ Lion Sleeps Tonight ♪ E minor chord ♪ Switching between Em & Am 🎸WEEK 3: ♪ Review play-along lesson ♪ TAB Song 2: London Bridge ♪ Somewhere Over the Rainbow ♪ Switching between G, Am, Em & C ♪ Strumming with G, Am, Em & C ♪ Intro to Firework 🎸WEEK 4: ♪ Review play-along lesson ♪ Intro to Strum Patterns ♪ Strumming Exercises 1-4 ♪ "Firework" with Strum Patterns 🎸WEEK 5: ♪ Song performances - students submit videos of them performing 1 TAB songs of their choosing, and one chord song of their choosing (Happy Birthday, Lion Sleeps Tonight, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, or Firework) after receiving feedback from instructor ⭐️ On the last week of class, students will post a video performance in the classroom page of their favorite songs from class to show off their progress and awesome new guitar skills! We've found that one of the best ways to reach children through music education is through modern instruments and technology-- this is why we focus our classes on guitar, ukulele, and music production with GarageBand.
