Previous experience or knowledge required: none.

In this class, we will begin learning the Greek alphabet. Students will practice writing them. I will include printable handouts for them to learn to trace and write the Greek alphabet. We will write on the screen. They will learn the names of the Greek letters and how to pronounce them. 

As we progress, students will begin pronouncing words and phrases. They will start reading and translating very basic passages. We will listen to and watch videos of people performing the audio of these passages. We will practice them ourselves. We will also continuously write in Greek, increase our vocabulary, and translate.

One important thing to note... I will stay on pace with the student. If we need to move faster, we will. If we need to go slower, we will.  Everything is tailored to your learner. 

I teach in a lecture style, with slides, encouraging students to ask questions and interact with me. I believe education is a conversation, and it helps learners retain the information, rather than "memorize and forget it." No previous experience is required since this is Beginner Level Greek, however, it would be very advantageous if the students are well-versed in English grammar beforehand. If not, I can help them learn enough grammar to supplement what we are doing in Greek.
