初學者鋼琴課 - 鋼琴快速前奏曲（第二部分）

In this class we will work together to learn how to play the piano!  Students should have a little bit of piano knowledge before taking this class. (Quarter note, half note, whole note, familiar with right hand notes C, D, E, F, and G). Students will be required to purchase Piano Pronto Prelude book by Jennifer Eklund, and they will need a piano or keyboard to practice with! 

We will be moving at a fairly quick pace, and students will be playing with 2 hands, favorite songs like Hot Cross Buns, Lightly Row, and London Bridge with left hand harmony notes by the end of these 8 weeks! Students will be learning how to read their notes on the music staff! Students will learn proper beats and counting, along with hand technique & proper hand positioning for playing. In this class we will be focusing on notes B, C, D,E, F, G, and A for the right hand, as well as C, D, E, F, and G in the left hand. Students will be working on playing 2-note chords in the left hand right away! Students will be learning about dotted quarter notes, eighth notes, fingering cross overs, ties, and additional dynamic markings! 

The teacher is passionate about making learning the piano accessible to all learners. The teacher strives to help the student feel confident like they can do it! The teacher aims to encourage students greatly.

January 16 Week 1: intros, some review, and piece #13
January 23 Week 2: review piece 13 and work on learning #14  
January 30 Week 3: review piece 13 and 14, learn piece 15.
February 6 Week 4: review piece 14 and 15, learn piece 16.
February 13 Week 5: review pieces 13 and 16, learn piece 17.
February 20 Week 6: review pieces 14, 15, 17,  learn piece 18. 
February 27 Week 7: review pieces 17, 18, learn piece 19.
March 6 Week 8: review favorite pieces & learn piece 20.

If students have started lessons but are feeling discouraged, this would be a great class to take to help build their confidence. If students know a couple notes but have not worked with hands together yet, this would be a great class! 
If students are brand new to piano, try my other class, “Beginner’s Piano Class - Piano Pronto (Level 1) first! Or, my
“Beginner’s Piano Class (Level 1) would be a great supplement to this class and can be taken before, during, or after this course. 

Also look for my Piano Pronto Power Pages Theory flex class, which students could take to work on theory and writing practice that goes along with this book. 

After this class, students will be ready for my prelude part 3 class!
